To celebrate World Book Night and Eden’s Garden being chosen as Welsh Book of the Month for May, I’m giving away a signed copy of Eden’s Garden.
Just answer the questions below before midnight on Friday May 11th, and I’ll be announcing the results on Monday May 21st.
And if you need any help, just visit my beautiful new website http://www.julietgreenwood.co.uk/ and take a look around: you just might find it there! You can send the answers via the website, or at this email address: info@julietgreenwood.co.uk
Questions:
1. What is the name of the garden that was the main garden inspiration behind Eden’s Garden?
2. Name one of the places in Cornwall that appear in the book.
3. What is the name of the Victorian heroine?
If there’s more than one correct entry, I’ll put them in a bonnet and draw the lucky winner.
GOOD LUCK!

What a great offer Juliet, thank you. I’ve sent my entry in. Keeping fingers crossed. Love the flowers on your blog.
Congrats on the new book!
Thank you! Woohoo!
Happy 1st of May and congratulations on being Welsh Book of the Month, I love that it coincides with the French tradition of giving Le Muguet – (Lily of the Valley) a symbol of ‘porte-bonheur’ or good luck.
On this day (it is a public holiday ‘Fete du Travail’) anyone in France can set up a stall anywhere and sell the little flowers which people give to friends, family, neighbours, acquaintances – so I gift you a virtual ‘Le Muguet’ in commemoration of this excellent month and this wonderful year of ‘Eden’s Garden’ and I wonder if you have any Lily of the Valley in your own garden?
Thank you, Claire!
I love Lily of the Valley and merci for your wonderful gift of Le Muguet. I’ve relatives in France, but they never told me about that one! What a wonderful tradition. Sadly, I can’t seem to grow Lily of the Valley this high up. I remember it sprawling over borders in my childhood and the scent still haunts me. Maybe I’ll try again, but in my polytunnel this time! All I can offer in return is wild garlic and a blue haze of forget-me-nots.
I should also send you the gift of fire as it’s the Celtic festival of Beltane, when the cattle were passed between two fires to celebrate the coming of spring. Along with plenty of naughty goings-on in the shadows that I couldn’t possibly mention here.
Mwynhewch – Enjoy!
Delightful! Thank you. Have a post coming later on Le Mugeut, just been out taking pics
Wonderful! I’ll definitely check it out!
